I think the block functionality is just one part of it. I believe the themes come in XHTML and older WordPress theme updates have not happened yet. It is just basic housekeeping.
If you look at the Genesis Pro themes listed it is 44 themes for if you buy the package now. Yet, we bought the same package earlier and have access to only 11 themes. The same themes that are available to the new buyers is the same themes that is sitting in our retired themes database. It does not make any sense.

I don't think we need to give them a free pass. They need to upgrade our old accounts as they should not have downgraded them in the first place. This is definitely bad integrity in business.
Part of the reason these guys get away with this kind of nonsense is because customers let them do it.
When WordPress got updated, the developers of the themes in their Pro Themes that they have restricted us from downloading also updated their themes to be more resilient to attacks, better security, more features etc.
So how come Studiopress is penalizing old customers who bought the "Lifetime" membership and treating them so poorly, when we supported them in the old days and now keeping all those updated themes behind walls and expecting us to pay again. So what is the meaning of "Lifetime" Pro membership. That is not ethical!
