Did I ask an improper question that this query has been ignored for a week?
Please advise.January 2, 2019 at 1:46 pm in reply to: How to create magazine "sections" in Magazine Pro? #225390
Bumping this so it doesn't get buried.
I realize I posted this during the holidays when everyone was elsewhere.
Really hoping for a bit of direction from this group. I know enough about WordPress to get myself in trouble because I'm not a coder. Not sure from the searching I've done if this is possible, or if I need to hire a developer.
Appreciate your time.
It was the breadcrumbs from my directory plugin I saw, even though it wasn't on one of the directory-created pages.
Thanks for your quick help!
Thanks for your quick answer. Weirdly, none of the location boxes for breadcrumbs are checked, yet I am still seeing them on a post.
Glad you made the suggestion, Heather.
I'm using Magazine Pro. Would you know, Brad, if there are recommended plugins for a portfolio layout or would that be a code snippet?
Thanks for your help.
I'm diving into getting the first phase of content created for my travel guide and magazine, so I'll be knee deep in GeoDirectory and Genesis for a while. Perhaps we can help each other out. Feel free to contact me.
Thanks Victor. I didn't find that article in my searches.
Appreciate your help.
Try looking at GeoDirectory. It's not a theme but a plugin and works with Genesis. I did an extensive analysis of all the directory themes out there and GeoDirectory has more features and capability. The styling can be a little clunky but that can be fixed.
It used to be a theme but had gotten big and bloated and about a year or more ago they broke it apart. The basic plugin is free so you can try it, then add on additional plugins plus support. The devs are in the support forum daily and the support is excellent.
My site isn't complete yet with GeoDirectory and Magazine Pro, so unfortunately I don't have anything to show you.
One note: Because GeoDirectory is geolocating, it won't work on standard shared hosting because of caching issues. The site will have to be on managed WordPress hosting.
I hope that's helpful.
Appreciate the feedback!
Thank you! Worked perfectly!
