ParticipantI was able to use Chap GPT to find my answer to this question, and I resolved it myself. Server issues also are also fixed. Crisis resolved. 🙂

ParticipantNo, I didn't get this resolved yet. Didn't realize anyone had replied. Stopped watching.
Thanks, brycejune. I'll give your suggestion a try!
Happy New Year,

ParticipantNevermind. I figured it out. I changed the background color (of the landing page) in the .css file.

ParticipantI'm still curious to know where the code is where this issue could be fixed. In the meantime, I installed the Genesis Featured Page Extras plug-in. It allowed me to use a custom image url for the featured image in the widget. I could create custom text too. Love that!

ParticipantI found it! There was no closing tag in the Home Bottom widget. It never ceases to amaze me how one tiny little slip can throw things off.
Thanks for all your help!

ParticipantWell, I have five widgets in that primary sidebar. From the code you pasted above, I can definitely see the problem. An open tag could sure be it. I looked for those, but perhaps I need to go back, again, and look more closely. Thanks again for your help!

ParticipantThanks for the input! That points me in another direction anyway (href link tags). I checked those but may have missed something. I didn't modify the widget or the template for the home page, and I'm not using widget logic. Will keep looking.
Thanks for the kudos on the site!

ParticipantThanks Brad. Yes, I've seen that page. Functions.php was the first file I thought to look at too. The developer's custom code is not there. I wonder if I put custom code in Functions, if it would override whatever he did, wherever he did it. Maybe I'll try that and see. I'm kind of at my wits end here. Thanks again.

ParticipantThank you for your suggestion. I did have Genesis Simple Edits enabled at one point, and had put custom footer credits in there. However, those settings did not match what was appearing in the footer. When I disabled Simple Edits, the incorrect custom footer credits remained. So, whatever custom footer the developer coded into the theme was overriding what I'd had in Simple Edits. I'm afraid if I install WP Edit and create a custom footer, the same thing will happen. What the developer coded will override it.
I just checked under Genesis Theme Settings and didn't see any code in the footer script section.

ParticipantThanks. I'd already checked both those things. Not there.
Simple Edits is disabled.

ParticipantThanks Anita. I will give this a try. I appreciate your help!

ParticipantThanks Anita. So, you're saying there's no way to make the header image extend all the way to the edge of the background?
Here's an image of how it's supposed to look:
http://www.transitionscoachinggroup.net/TCG_Web_Mockup.jpgThe dark part, on the left and right sides of the logo area, is part of the header image too.
Thanks.

ParticipantI want to add something else to my initial comments above...
Not only is the custom header image not placed correctly, but for some reason its size appears larger and thus the image is pixelated a bit. It's not crisp and clear. And then the image is, of course, cut off on the left and right sides as well as at the top and bottom. It's like it was resized larger and then cropped to fit an area smaller than its size.
Really appreciate it if someone is able to point out the err of my ways. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantThank you Lauren!

ParticipantWonderful, thanks so much for the assistance! I appreciate it. Will try this out tomorrow.

ParticipantThanks to David for helping me get the site fixed up! Issue resolved.

ParticipantThanks Rob. There's a blue background, that sits behind the home page header, that is now missing. And the interior page header (just below the orange nav bar) is now missing.
This morning, I uninstalled the plug-in in question, but the problems still persist.
Thanks!
