🙁 I so wanted to be able to thank you profusely (after having done some victory dancing over here). Unfortunately it did not work.
I am not sure what clues I can give you. I did exactly what you told me:
1) Had 2012 theme as active
2) Deactivated the wordpress SEO plugin
3) Installed magazine child theme
4) activated wordpress SEO theme -> it did not show the titles&meta tabs
5) re-activated the 2012 theme
6) the wordpress SEO theme showed the title & meta tabs

I have a genesis.zip, a magazine.zip and a genesis-sample.zip. Is it the genesis-sample.zip you want me to use?
January 15, 2013 at 12:13 am in reply to: WordPress SEO by Yoast v1.3.4.4 does not work with Genesis Framework v1.9 #12012lauraMember@bill @buddy boy - I don't have anything installed but wordpress 3.5 and yoast's plugin. At which point in time the plugin works. When I then install genesis 1.9.1, the plugin stops working. When I then remove genesis 1.9 (and go back to the wordpress default theme 2012), the plugin works again. I have no idea what is causing it, but it can't be another plugin (as I don't have any other plugin), or a child theme customisation (as I have no child theme installed). It could be a bad server setup - I use Westhost (also recommended by Yoast), and used their Softaculous button to install wordpress.
I am sure Yoast is a great developer (hence why I want to use his plugin), and that it works with genesis 1.9. It just doesn't work for me with the most basic set-up, so I am trying to figure out why as I really want to use his plugin. Any suggestions you might have as to where the problem might be are welcome!
Jennifer from the studiopress team is looking into this as well - it works for her too, but she has access to my setup and hasn't been able to find the cause of the problem yet.
lauraMemberthx 🙂
January 14, 2013 at 12:10 am in reply to: magazine theme – hex color code for area under posts #11766lauraMember1) Trying it out
2) Thx
3) Will do. I use Safari, but I understand (from googling it) that there is a lite version which works on Safari.
Thx again for your help!
lauraMemberWell, you should give yourself more credit: this time I understood 100% of what you wrote, and it worked 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me!
lauraMemberHi Bill - thx so much for your reply. Although I must admit I only understand about half of it (I am a complete novice + a technical gnat...:-( )
I would like it to work like the demo http://demo.studiopress.com/magazine/
In the demo you can link to the article from the title, as you suggest, as well as at the end of the snippet, where you get " ...[read more]", and the [read more] part links to the rest of your post.
Hope that makes sense?
lauraMemberShould have added that the website is momgoesonline.com
lauraMemberYes! Thank you 🙂
You wouldn't happen to know the codes of the green one and then purple one as well?
