    Hi antiac,

You don’t need to use the Sticky function for that theme. You set what you want Featured in the area by the category selection or page you select in the Featured Post or Featured Page.

As you know the content area of Going green theme is not widgetized. I can set what I want featured/desired page or post/ only on primary sidebar by using Genesis Featured post plugin.

In contrast, the content area of the home page is governed by genesis grid loop which, as far as I know, features the recent posts only.
My goal is to have featured one or two ‘evergreen’ posts on content area, the rest could be featured on primary sidebar.

Unfortunately, ‘evergreen’ post not always coincides with the latest post. That’s why I made the post sticky.

The genesis home slider, running in content area, was added additionally by me by makingthe  home featured widget as per Brian Gardner’s instructions/scripts/.

Any suggestions how do I set the given post that I want featured on the content area except labeling it as sticky?

Did you add a Featured Image and then add the same image to the body of the post?

Firstly I added the image to the body of the post and then an resized bigger version of this image was set as featured. The result is the appearance of two images.
Then I stopped adding the image to the body of the post while editing it and set the image as featured. The result is the appearance of an ugly aligned left image above the post that must be resized to the content width in order to look more acceptable.

My goal is to have one smaller image aligned left into body of post and the same bigger version of the image used as featured on the home page into the body of the same post and eventually on the genesis slider.

    How can I do that?

For the time being the result is either the appearance of two duplicated images or one ugly aligned left featured image that must be resized.
