kathyosborneParticipant
Thank you! I will check it out.
kathykathyosborneParticipantI did miss that note. Thanks for your help!
kathyosborneParticipantThanks for responding!
I have this code in my functions file that should be loading the dash icons (right?):
//* Enqueue Scripts add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'education_load_scripts' ); function education_load_scripts() { wp_enqueue_script( 'education-responsive-menu', get_bloginfo( 'stylesheet_directory' ) . '/js/responsive-menu.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1.0.0' ); wp_enqueue_style( 'dashicons' ); wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Condensed:300,700', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION ); }
But I added what you suggested and it still doesn't load... :/
kathyosborneParticipantTHANK YOU! That put me on the right track!
kathyosborneParticipantHi - just checking on on this to see if anyone has any suggestions. I guess what I need to be able to do is add a search function without using the search widget so that it stays in the top header right widget.... but I'm not sure how to go about that...
kathyosborneParticipantThanks. I'm curious why the plugins won't work with this?
So - just to clarify - I need to create a custom category for each category for each one (right now two of my category pages need different sticky notes) that would need a sticky note at the top?
Thanks!
KathykathyosborneParticipantYes. Thank you. Turns out that there are two places in the theme to select the categories that you want to show.
kathyosborneParticipantThank you so much Neil. That worked like a charm!!!
p.s. I've used your tutorials in the past. They are great. Thank you!!
kathyosborneParticipantOkay, thanks for your help.
kathyosborneParticipantIt's feeding through the Featured Post Widget. So I guess that means I have to alter the widget...?? :/
kathyosborneParticipantThanks! I added the code to my functions.php and used "17" as indicated to be the category ID. I added a post and selected "Recipes" and it showed on the home page.... Can you see the code below and let me know if I am placing something incorrectly and why it's still feeding into the home page....
kathyosborneParticipantTHANK YOU!!!!
kathyosborneParticipantI found this blog post that resolved my issue!
http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-text-phone-number-inline-with-custom-nav-menu-in-header-right-widget/The only issue I am having now is that it doesn't shift up just a bit like the rest of the nav when I'm scrolling.... Looking in the CSS, but I don't see the transition....
kathyosborneParticipantOr if there is an easier way to just add that text next to the navigation not using the "header right" widget that would be great.
kathykathyosborneParticipantThank you! It was the .home class I couldn't figure out.
kathyosborneParticipantThanks! I need to remove it though...

October 12, 2015 at 6:35 am in reply to: Altitude Theme: Center Logo stay centered when adjusting #167907kathyosborneParticipantOops! I wrote that wrong. When you scroll down on the home page the logo shrinks and moves. Not when it's reduced for mobile devices.
kathyosborneParticipantI mispelled my search. After realizing I found the answer here:
This is a hosting issue. You may be able to increase the PHP memory via your wp-config.php file by using WP_MEMORY_LIMIT: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
If that does not work, then you’ll need to contact your webhost and ask them to increase the PHP memory for you.
kathyosborneParticipantTHANK YOU!
