    Yes, sorry.. I did figure out how to get the "footer" lower area black.
    My problem is with the "Footer Widget" area.. specifically the background.

    I was able to get the background of the actual widgets to be black ..
    but the space around them is always white. That is the part that I believe is controlled by the "site-inner-wrap" color?

    In the meantime I changed to all white to see if that was ok for the people I'm doing the site for.

    Ideally.. I'd like the footer WIDGET area to be black like the bottom footer.. with background and widgets black. Just not sure with site-inner-wrap set to white..if it's possible.

    Thank you.
    I had figured out the css but not the functions code.

    Now I'm thinking we may not want it because we need an ad in header.
    I've used the right side widget area for both ad and header.
