Jeffrey
MemberDo you have any help on how to use the hooks system to accomplish this?
Thanks a ton for your help Nick! If I can pull this off the site will be done! Yay!
Jeffrey
MemberNick, thanks for getting back to me over the holiday weekend. Is that easy code to write up? If not, do you know of a widget or plugin that already has this built in (though i need to maintain the post offset functionality).

MemberThose fixes worked perfectly SoZo. Thanks!
Jeffrey
MemberThanks SoZo! disabling those "overflow: hidden;" declarations did show me the arrows. is there a way to move those arrows to float side by side on the right-hand side of the excerpt bar instead of on either side of the slider image?
Also, is there a way to get the excerpt background color opacity AND the solid title color -- or are the two mutually exclusive?

Memberdeleting the image from the media library and re-uploading it seemed to work for some reason. Thanks for the help!

Membergotcha nick. is there anyway you could help me with that custom output? is it a big ordeal?
Jeffrey
MemberActually no, I didn't get it to work -- well, not without installing a different tag cloud plugin. For some reason, removing the title from the stock tag cloud widget in the Magazine child theme didn't remove the "Tags" title from the widget. Weird.

MemberThanks for the reply idav. I tried what you suggested but it didn't work. On the dev site link I posted you can see the image in the featured slider has a bunch of white space to the right. The image set to be featured is 780x300 -- which are the same dimensions of the slider.
Yet for some reason, it's getting resized to 600x250.
Any other help?
Jeffrey
MemberThanks for the reply Nick.
Well, is there an easier way to display the "comments" link in the content section with the "read more", instead of the aforementioned vice versa?
Jeffrey
MemberThanks SoZo. The development server is http://wood.jeffrey-davis.net. I want to change the title bar location and text size in addition to removing the weird padding that is making the image 6px shorter narrower than the title section on each side.
I've tried writing the code with the classes shown in firebug into my site's template, using the !important declaration to override the DCG css, but that didn't work.
ideas?
Jeffrey
MemberStill looking for help on this. Anyone?
Jeffrey
MemberDon't know how else to explain it. The DCG plugin doesn't come with any a css file but obviously uses css for styling. I want to change that styling but can't figure out how to over ride the default css. Make sense?
Jeffrey
MemberThanks Nick! Just replied to you over there in response to the fix you suggested.
