The header image size is set in the theme functions file.
Beware: make sure you have FTP or file manager access and the ability to undo your edits before you start making changes to your functions file. One wrong character can break your site and you won’t even have access to your dashboard.

jeremyholden.meJeremy HoldenParticipantIt would be possible add more widget areas to the home page.
Here's a site I did using Parallax where each page has a different image for the background: Natures Harmony Farm
I'm not sure how you're thinking of adding images to the homepage, we tried setting images for the even widget areas as well as the odd widgets but it didn't really look great to not have anything separating the background images from each other.
I'd be happy to work with you on it if you need additional help.

Here is a site I designed where I added a new widget area beside the slider: Redeemeroxford.org

Anything different or beyond that can be done with css.

jeremyholden.meJeremy HoldenParticipantI'm not sure why but the current-menu-item > a is displaying about 1 px larger than the rest of the ul.
You can fix the color showing up by removing the background-color property from it at line 1110.
Since it's all the same color anyway, there isn't a need to have it different from the rest of the menu.

jeremyholden.meJeremy HoldenParticipantMake sure that the img element property is set to {max-width: 100%}
If you post a link I could probably help more. It's hard say without knowing what you have there.

jeremyholden.meJanuary 15, 2015 at 11:29 am in reply to: Genesis-Sample customize single post template under certain category #137567Jeremy HoldenParticipantthere are a couple ways to do this.
1. You can remove those actions which an if condition in the functions file.
2. You can use the class selectors for that page and each element and then used the property value {display: none;}

jeremyholden.meJeremy HoldenParticipantI would say yes to using yoast for anything seo related.
That will also give you the ability to edit what shows up in the description.

jeremyholden.meJeremy HoldenParticipantYou can use this to add the link to excerpts:
//* Modify the Genesis content limit read more link add_filter( 'get_the_content_more_link', 'sp_read_more_link' ); add_filter( 'excerpt_more', 'sp_read_more_link'); function sp_read_more_link() { return '... <a class="more-link" href="' . get_permalink() . '">[Continue Reading...]</a>'; }
And this this to remove entry meta:
//* Remove the post meta function remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_post_meta' );
