Yes, I did resolve this sort of. Although not exactly how I wanted.

I had set the .site-header to a fixed height, and when I commented that out the problem went away, but it did result in some other issues. I still need to mess around with it when I find some time.

Well that was way to obvious! I didn't even know you could set a layout in the GUI for a category.
