Brad Dalton YOU ARE THE MAN!
I always get the best advice from you man, I really don't know how to thank you!
All right, this was very easy today, but generally speaking I learn a lot from your website
too.
Thanks a lot, if you happen to be in Europe, let me know and I'll buy you a couple of beers!
June 2, 2013 at 2:59 pm in reply to: Need advice for storefront page to integrate with my genesis theme #43662FabioParticipantHi, thanks for your reply!
On that link you gave me it says:
Note: You must have a Genesis child theme activated, and WooCommerce installed and activated, before installing and activating this plugin.
What does it mean "woocommerce installed and activated"? I went on woocommerce site and I dont really understand how it works... it seems they sell themes...
May 24, 2013 at 1:29 pm in reply to: How do I change the background of my whole website from white to grey? #42512FabioParticipantOOOOps
Just realized I need one specific page to have a white background.
Is it possible to exclude one page from the background "rule"?

Thanks Brad!

How about changing headings and links, do I need to do it manually one at a time or is there any easier way?
FabioParticipantHi anitac, thanks for your reply.
The reason why I changed it to 540px is because I need it at 540px.
How can I get it at 540px and responsive?
Please don't tell me that I have to choose between having a custom width and having a responsive page.
Thanks!
FabioParticipantthanks, I didn't touch the .htaccess and I let my host do it. Hopefully they did it right...
To be honest, since then I haven't had any more spam bot comment but I started to get spam bot subscribers!
My host told me that it's like if the code we put in the htaccess deviated the spam to some 404 pages where they subscribed.
Of course now I've removed the subscribe form from my 404 page and also the spam bot subscribers problem seems to be vanished.
Thanks everyone for the help in this thread. Hopefully it will benefit many.
FabioParticipant@ Bill:
First of all thank you.
Second, you say:
"A better technique would be to redirect every access to the comment form, regardless of referrer."
And how do you do this?
Also, considering the interesting comment of Summer above ^ is this copy n paste going to last the next WP update? is there any danger for my site to crash?
Thanks both!
FabioParticipantYes, basically simply change yourdomainname with letstalksex.net
or something else?
FabioParticipantThanks Bill, I got my host to paste that code in my htaccess and lets hope it works.
Thanks!
FabioParticipantOh wow,
I didn't think it was so hard/impossible to stop.
So basically all of you out there are facing this problem everyday?
To be honest I don't even know what Apache webserver is... is there any easier way?
FabioParticipantwhat would be the standard approach? 🙂
is there any easier way to do it?
Thanks!
FabioParticipantnevermind, I fixed that.
Only problem left:
the new logo is not responsive.
Any help to fix this please?
thanks
FabioParticipantI'm still playing with it...
I renamed the new logo: "logo-texture.png"
and uploaded it both in /images and /images/red
and the logo appears now but not in its full width....
🙁
Any help?
FabioParticipantHi Anitac,
I've been following your instructions on my test site first:
exclusiveskills.com
and they worked.
They I did the same exact thing on my blog
letstalksex.net
and it did NOT work??!
Could you please help me make it work on my blog too?
Thanks
Fabio
April 15, 2013 at 4:22 am in reply to: How to Remove Page Title Widget From Specific Pages and Posts #35523FabioParticipantHey thanks all for your replies 🙂
Susan thanks a lot for your help, but that plugin gives me control over my sidebars but not over the "page title" widget.
But ryantownley, your solution is actually the best so far. I'm gonna need to assign a different category to the posts where I want the widget to be displayed but it will do it.
Thanks everyone, and of course I'm always open to other solutions if you have any.
April 14, 2013 at 5:12 pm in reply to: How to Remove Page Title Widget From Specific Pages and Posts #35488FabioParticipantHey Susan, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately that plugin removes the article's title and not the page title. I gave it a try earlier today...
Any other solution 🙂 ?
Thanks a lot for your help by the way
April 14, 2013 at 4:47 pm in reply to: How to Remove Page Title Widget From Specific Pages and Posts #35483FabioParticipantuuuuuuuhhh 🙂
is there any simpler way?
I'm not able to do that...
FabioParticipantI set that to 500 words but nothing changes. It still shows 55 words (I sent a test broadcast with my mailing list provider)
FabioParticipantSure
Content Archives was already set to "Display post content" by default, I don't know if this helps.
Thank you
FabioParticipantThanks! It worked well.
Thank you
