December 11, 2013 at 12:36 am in reply to: Can't log into Admin dashboard after Genesis Simple Hooks plugin update #78286Diversified WomanMember
Back in business. Found the previous version of that Simple Hooks plugin on the developers tab in the Word Press support site. Uploaded the older version and now its working just fine!
Think I will be holding off on upgrading that one for a good while.
I am only still only running Genesis Version: 1.4.1 as well, but have been reluctant to do so since there is always a chance for that sort of thing to even happen with that.
December 11, 2013 at 12:20 am in reply to: Can't log into Admin dashboard after Genesis Simple Hooks plugin update #78280Diversified WomanMemberI went in and renamed that particular plugin folder and now I can get back into the website and admin panel but the one thing I see I am missing is my 728 x 90 banner which normally appeared at the bottom in my footer.
Most likey it was the only thing I was using it for.I have a shortcode I can use to display this ad but not sure where I would insert this if I don't have the hooks plugin now?
These are the 2 options I have:
In a post or page:
[adrotate group="3"]Directly in a theme:
<?php echo adrotate_group(3); ?>December 11, 2013 at 12:00 am in reply to: Can't log into Admin dashboard after Genesis Simple Hooks plugin update #78274Diversified WomanMemberIn the meantime here I decided to use our FTP program and remove this particular plugin folder but when I did this....... the opposite happened!
I could once again log into the admin dashboard but then my website would not display.
So I went ahead and added the plugin folder via FTP back in. (since I uploaded it to my own computer first, just in case that might happen).
So now back to being able to see the website but can't get in to modify it via the dashboard. 🙁

March 2, 2013 at 12:51 pm in reply to: All of a sudden Drop down menus not displaying in Magazine Child Theme? #23786Diversified WomanMemberI think the problem was I did not deactive them all at once. I will certainly remember this moving forward. Great advice and glad you pointed that out Bill Murray. 🙂
March 2, 2013 at 12:22 am in reply to: All of a sudden Drop down menus not displaying in Magazine Child Theme? #23687Diversified WomanMemberAh HA! Well it turns out it is the WP Socializer plugin.
So what Plugin would someone recommend which would give me say the Facebook Like, retweet Twitter button and Share button for other option, which would provide no conflict? Would like the counter showing.
That's a shame but maybe someone can point me to a Plugin which is conflict free or at least CLOSE!
🙂

I agree this sounds like the problem but how can I fix it and where can I determine if I am using jQuery 1.9.1?
March 1, 2013 at 10:09 pm in reply to: All of a sudden Drop down menus not displaying in Magazine Child Theme? #23672Diversified WomanMemberHi Bill Murray,
You mentioned " It looks like you are loading jquery from Google."
Where can I determine this? I honestly don't remember doing that. Where can I tell and how do I go about changing it?
Thank you for your help. Also I have tested this on IE9 and the latest version of Firefox. No fancy dropdowns showing for either browser.
Hi Anitica~
I am thinking it has to do more with the issue you referenced but not quite understanding exactly what needs done with that. It's a bit confusing. It appears that when I updated to WP 3.5 this is when the problem started. I now have 3.5.1Hi Thunderkitties ~
I have added no new plugins for months.
My Plug-ins are all up-to-date as well.I am running Askimet, Buzzsprout Podcasting, Fast Secure Contact Form, Genesis Slider, Google XML Sitemaps, my Repono Backup Plugin, Reftagger, Simple Local Avatars, WordPress Editorial Calendar, WP Socializer, WP Touch, and YIKES, Inc Easy Mailchimp Extender
Hopefully this will shed more light on what could be wrong.
March 1, 2013 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Need help changing URL of "Featured Properties" widget title link – Agentpress #23624Diversified WomanMemberI agree. With the old forum this was not the case. Not sure what the problem is but the support really seems to be lacking now. I've posted questions that go unanswered as well.
March 1, 2013 at 6:50 pm in reply to: All of a sudden Drop down menus not displaying in Magazine Child Theme? #23623Diversified WomanMemberNope, never got an answer. There are still no drop downs on the primary and secondary navigation. There is also that yellow triangle that says "error on page" on the bottom left hand corner of browser and when clicked on, it displays the problem which I posted above.
It's sad that no one can offer a solution for this. Surely there must be one. Everything is up to date and only have minimal plugins installed, none of which are the issue.
Diversified WomanMemberI do see at the bottom left hand corner of the browser there is an error symbol and when you click on it, you get the following:
Webpage error details
Message: ‘$.browser.msie’ is null or not an object
Line: 11
Char: 1662
Code: 0
URI: http://defendinggodsword.com/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/js/menu/superfish.js?ver=1.4.8I am currently running WP 3.5.
I’ve created menus in the WP here /wp-admin/nav-menus.php
It’s not a problem with any plugins. I think it may have something to do with the superfish js.
Diversified WomanMemberIt is actually Genesis and using the child theme Magazine.
Diversified WomanMemberI found these notes about using that WP Menu but this is how I created it to being with? So really confused now.
http://fearlessflyer.com/2012/05/how-to-use-the-wp-menu-system/
This is the website below. Both the primary and secondary navigation incorporates drop down menus but again they are NOT showing. Obviously the secondary navigation consists of "categories".
So frustrating and clueless how to fix this mess.
Diversified WomanMemberYou mentiond using the WP menu system to "re-create the menus"......I know this sounds stupid but how do I do that?
February 22, 2013 at 7:42 pm in reply to: All of a sudden Drop down menus not displaying in Magazine Child Theme? #22336Diversified WomanMemberI should add in that error that appears in the bottom left hand corner related to the ’$.browser.msie’ is null or not an object error it says below that "superfish.js
Webpage error details
Message: '$.browser.msie' is null or not an object
Line: 11
Char: 1662
Code: 0
URI: http://defendinggodsword.com/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/js/menu/superfish.js?ver=1.4.8Diversified WomanMemberI just posted a question regarding nearly the same issue. All our drop down menus have disappeared too.
No one seemed to answer your question. Hope you were able to figure it out.
January 31, 2013 at 9:18 pm in reply to: Need a Photo Credit attribution Plugin to provide links at end of posts #16961Diversified WomanMemberWell maybe I will. If it doesn't work I'll just deactivate it I guess. Then on to plan 2 of course! 🙂
January 31, 2013 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Need a Photo Credit attribution Plugin to provide links at end of posts #16958Diversified WomanMemberTrue. If I actually "knew" how to write code like that LOL
January 29, 2013 at 9:11 pm in reply to: HOVER background color for button that says "continue" not changing as it should #16274Diversified WomanMemberApparently that was the FIX! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. 🙂
January 29, 2013 at 8:44 pm in reply to: HOVER background color for button that says "continue" not changing as it should #16259Diversified WomanMemberCan I add that to the stylesheet to make this work?
Odd because in the demo for this particular theme it did change colors.
So is this how I would modify the code to get the desired effect needed?
.glitter-gold-turquoise input[type="button"],
.glitter-gold-turquoise input[type="submit"],
.glitter-gold-turquoise a.more-link {
background: #758EA3;
color: #fff;
}.glitter-gold-turquoise a.more-link:hover {
background: #B8A12E;
color: #fff;
