March 24, 2021 at 10:08 am in reply to: Genesis advanced columns not responsive on smart phone #503560diParticipant
@Anita, thanks so much for your helpful response. Please accept my stupid question: where can I find the alignment designation in order to turn it off? There is none listed under Advanced in the Blocks menu. And in the Genesis menu, I have default layout selected, as opposed to full width content. Thanks so much.
February 3, 2021 at 8:35 am in reply to: Widgets not showing up in Appearance/Widgets or on published site, Jessica theme #502900diParticipantIn answer to my own question: Deactivate the Gutenberg plugin. That's not for Live usage and it has a couple bugs in it, namely that Widgets page.
This answer was provided elsewhere and did the trick for Jessica theme as well.
diParticipantThanks! That did the trick. Now, a further question. What do you mean "for Live usage?" And what is the purpose of Gutenberg plugin? Will my theme still be block-based without it?
diParticipantThanks, @ericcantu! You're a lifesaver!
February 2, 2021 at 10:15 am in reply to: Widgets not showing up in Appearance/Widgets or on published site, Jessica theme #502885diParticipantThanks for deleting the duplicate. I searched for my topic, accidentally posted as a response instead of a new post, and then couldn't figure out how to delete it. Ach!
I'm wondering if you can answer my question regarding a general reference site that explains widget-based homepages. Not only am I looking to understand them better, I'm also curious if they're the best route to go? Will blocks eventually outdate them? Thanks.
November 10, 2020 at 8:04 am in reply to: Dropdown sub menu not showing on phone device, Monochrome Pro #501847diParticipant@Bianca, thanks for your help with this. Made your suggested changes and things are working great. Just checked Chrome and Safari and they're both spot on. Thanks so much!
diParticipantThanks @VictorFont for your helpful ideas. I'm slow in taking action but finally did so today.
In style.css, I added the following code:
.white {
color: #FFF; /*ADUNATE added so phone number on cell phone is white*/
}In the widget, I changed the html to this:
<h4>
Call or Text June & Terry <span class="white">262-528-3862</span>
</h4>Unfortunately, this didn't bring any change. Anything I should correct? Perhaps anything else?
Also, thanks for your Safari suggestion. I am using it. Dumb question, how do I do Inspect Elements for/on an iPhone?
April 7, 2020 at 1:13 pm in reply to: Authority Pro – remove all grey boxes and small blue dash lines #497810diParticipantI'm wondering if these style sheets are style relevant, as this post is 2-year old? I'm having problems finding the names that both @VictorFont and @Anita are mentioning. Anyone have the latest on Authority Pro and removing the blocks?
diParticipant@dkf, glad you figured out your issue. For mine, I deleted all the featured images I had set, exited my site, cleared the cache (probably even turned off the computer) and then re-entered the featured images. All pages worked except the Blog Post page. I ended up contacting Essence Pro theme support and was told the theme default is that the blog page shares the homepage image.
@dkf, is this default for your blog page the same? I too had adjusted the transparency of the gradient. Curious why this would affect featured image availability?diParticipantBumping back up to top. We've got it corrected except for the Blog Post page (Reflections, in this case). Does Essence Pro default to showing only the header image for its feature image? We have a different image loaded but it doesn't show.
diParticipantOkay, so I removed the plugin Genesis Simple Edits and it formatted the information text the way I'd like. However, it style doesn't accept the background-color:#1C3F94; unless I include it in Appearance/customize/additional css. What gives?
March 19, 2020 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Hamburger menu showing up on full screen, Monochrome Pro #497421diParticipantSolved my problem by reloading the original style.css and then one by one adding back my changes. Not sure which one did it, but they’re all back in place and the hamburger is gone.
diParticipantNever mind, figured it out. Carrot dropdown help, right?
March 11, 2020 at 6:22 am in reply to: Change margins in AB bold-heading-text fade-in-up, monochrome pro #497263diParticipantThanks Victor! Also, is there an overall listing anywhere of the Additional CSS classes and what they do?
diParticipantThanks so much, that did the trick!
diParticipant@cutlooseadventure, could you share the blog post you used? I need to do the same thing. Thanks! And @victorfont, thank you as well. You save lots of people's days!
diParticipant@braddalton, Just downloaded the latest version 1.4.0. I did a full file search for custom-logo.php on my computer and only came up with such a file for another theme. What folder is it under?
diParticipantOops, I mean 1.4
diParticipant@braddalton, version 1.3.0. Most recent.
diParticipant@braddalton, thanks for your help. However, I'm not finding custom-logo.php in the Monochrome Pro files. Can you tell me where it's at?
