    Davinder, I can't thank you enough. This is something I wouldn't have been able to figure out on my own. Not sure why the credit section isn't straight forward on this theme as it is on others...

    Thanks for all your help!

    Regards,
    -Derek

    Thanks for your help Davinder and Carasmo. I appreciate your inputs and it's helped me decide what I had to do. Too bad the theme isn't as flexible in this regards, but nonetheless a beautiful theme.

    All the best!

    Hi Davinder,

    Apologies once again for the late response on this topic.

    I did do exactly as you said, however, as mention the website doesn't react to this. As well, the plugin version also yielded the same error message as mention above. It's as if wordpress was condemning me of doing any changes to the site LOL. For your reference here is the site: http://goo.gl/gxPqNw

    So Even though I place the code at the bottom, made the necessary changes, it still yields no change after I click save. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

    Cheers,

    -Derek

    Thanks Carasmo for the input. I sort of understand what you're saying, and because it's a responsive page the layout will look different. But the thing is that I don't need such a big space in this section, and it will be reflective on any device. so surely there must be a way to decrease the px (size) of the Front Page sections, but I guess I'll have to wait and see :).

    Hi Davinder,

    Sorry for the late reply!

    So I did try to put the code at the bottom of the style.css, however, it doesn't do any good :/. It's if the website is ignoring this code. My website is here: website (for indexing purposes).

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Hey Davinder,

    Alright, so I applied this to both the "Edit Css" section and the style.css. Seems that it doesn't make any changes :/. Do you have a clue as to why the webpage is not responding to the change?

    Thanks again for your efforts!

    Hey Davinder,

    I added the entire code at the bottom of my functions.php:

    <?php
    //* Do NOT include the opening php tag shown above. Copy the code shown below.
    //* Customize the entire footer
    remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer' );
    add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'sp_custom_footer' );
    function sp_custom_footer() {
    	?>
    	<p>&copy; Copyright 2012 <a href="http://mydomain.com/">My Domain</a> &middot; All Rights Reserved &middot; Powered by <a href="http://wordpress.org/">WordPress</a> &middot; <a href="http://mydomain.com/wp-admin">Admin</a></p>
    	<?php
    }

    But when I click to save I get an error page. On the error page it says this:

    No data received

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

    Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
    Reload this webpage
    Press the reload button to resubmit the data needed to load the page.

    It's strange as if the templates not letting me do my thing. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,
    -Derek

    Davinder, you come to the rescue once again my friend. I appreciate the response and will try to execute this. I should be fine, and if not I'll reopen this but it should be straight forward.

    I see now the new type of wordpress I need to tackle. I use to just do into editor with each theme and edit the .phh files. Now I see I need to add snippets of code in order to achieve what I want. Anyhow, thanks for the top amigo.

    All the best,

    -Derek

    Thanks for your help Tom, appreciate that.

    So to a newbie like me who knows nothing about email subscriptions management, I am guessing that I need to setup an account with either MailChimp, AWeber or FeedBlitz? And basically the genesis news extended just acts as a gateway for MailChimp, AWeber or FeedBlitz?

    I'm trying to envision this whole thing. I thought that once I install the plugin (genesis enews extended) it does all the work for me, but I guess it's not that easy. Basically anyone in this day of age needs to be subscribed to either MailChimp, AWeber or FeedBlitz correct? So in the end we have no choice but to pay the monthly subscriptions at these places?
