It is 99% perfect.
My only remaining issue is that the opaque /transparent setting. It does not seem to matter whether I use 0.2 or 1.0.
The transparency level doesn't change.
Any help on this final issue would be greatly appreciated.
It's almost there.
The modifications have successfully removed the mobile responsive design.
But there is still a small column on the right side of the website that doesn't display in my iphone.
Can you help see what I missed?

It helped when I removed the "Viewport" line in the functions file.

I tried to remove the the Mobile Respsonsive Design Items in the Style Sheet but that didn't do it.
Any other advice?

Yes. An html page that is outside of wordpress. But the "home" page inside wordpress should lead to this outside page.

How can I create the widgets on the side of the home page of the demo (http://demo.studiopress.com/education/)
The ones on the top right in the blue, rounded boxes (Text Widget, Blogroll, Text Widget) ?
I'm simply trying to duplicate the demo.
I can't get those widgets on the side to show up. The ones that include the Blogroll. I put text in the primary and secondary widget areas but
it doesn't show up on the home page.
