It will be a learning curve.
I hate change, I'm too old 🙂
And I'm not entirely convinced that knocking out a long winded post with images should be hindered by having to build multiple blocks in order to do so. But, to be fair, I haven't followed the GB drama prior to its release so I may well be misunderstanding its function.dave_sParticipantThat's good to hear, thanks victor.
June 28, 2018 at 9:43 am in reply to: how will the recent acquisition by WP Engine effect my account? #221195dave_sParticipantWPEngine's announcement has more useful info in the comments than the SP one.
dave_sParticipantCheers Brad.

I used this on Parallax Pro and it works great.
dave_sParticipantSridhar has a tutorial for doing this which I used on Parallax and it works a treat.

It's for posts but in the comments Sridhar explains how to do it for pages.
Dave
dave_sParticipantThanks, I'll check it out.
I managed to find this one which works really well, looks good and is easy to use.
dave_sParticipantHi Gary,
The counter will have nothing to do with conversions, it's purely to display three sets of science based information which may change each month and is relevant to why people will be visiting.
I'll check out the WP repository.

.sidebar a { color: #5287cf; }
dave_sParticipantNo problem, thanks for the help, much appreciated.
dave_sParticipantTheme: Now using Parallax Pro
Reader settings set to static page:
Homepage = Home
Posts Page = BlogThe Home Page is using the default template.
The blog page no longer has the option to use a template (removed by genesis?).dave_sParticipantdave_sParticipantIt's on a local so can't link to it I'm afraid.
I've never used the genesis blog template after reading Bill Erikson's article about it.
https://www.billerickson.net/dont-use-genesis-blog-template/
dave_sParticipantHi Brad,
Tried both but neither work.
I notice the remove action has:'genesis_do_blog_template_heading'
I'm using a static Home Page and blog page, would this be the reason why?
(what I know about php you can write on the back of a match box with my name and address 🙂 )Also, will this work on all Genesis themes or just Sample?
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
December 11, 2016 at 9:51 am in reply to: SPI Theme Site Title & Header Right Widget Alignment #197423dave_sParticipantThink I've figured out what's happening.
On my 12" Macbook it's using the mobile responsive CSS which puts the site title & widget center aligned.
On my work PC it shows as per the demo.
Surprised it defaults to mobile responsive on a laptop. Would have thought it would only use this on things like iPads or phones?
December 10, 2016 at 11:43 am in reply to: SPI Theme Site Title & Header Right Widget Alignment #197403dave_sParticipantOn the demo it shows the site title on the left and the header right widget on the right.
If the widget area, when used, is going to sit under the site title and be center aligned why's it called header right widget? (or am I missing something blindingly obvious 🙂 )
Cheers
dave_sParticipantThe solution for anyone having the same issue (provided by support team):
Please make sure you have added a widget to the Front Page widget area.
The background image is assigned to the widget area, which means it will only appear if the widget area is in use. The widget area is in use once at least one widget has been added to it.
Would be useful to update the theme doc to reflect this as it's an easy thing to overlook.
dave_sParticipantI'm having the exact same issue.
Did you get a resolution for this?dave_sParticipantWas looking for an answer to this myself.
Thank you Brad.
dave_sParticipantThanks Brad,
Bit of tinkering and adding the following to the bottom of style.css worked like a charm.
/* CUSTOM CSS */ .single-post .site-title > a { color: #fff; } .single-post #responsive-menu-icon:before { color: #fff; } .single-post .genesis-nav-menu a { color: #fff; } .single-post .genesis-nav-menu a:hover { color: #ccc; }
