Well, today the navigation tabs are showing fine. I did load the site on a different computer where I was not logged in last night - and it was NOT showing correctly. Today it is. So issue resolved - except I'm curious as to why it took so long - or did not change navigation immediately - can anyone explain?

I figured it out - used Google to get to http://my.studiopress.com/setup/agency-pro-theme/page-templates/landing-page-template/ - all working great! Thank you for letting me know there is such a template 🙂

OK - just to show how new I am at this - where is the template referred to in the code? Perhaps that's my problem; I'm trying to turn a regular page into a landing page.

OK - I put the original, old one back as the selected gravatar. - not the one I want; but better than being a ghost 🙂 -- I'll have to solve the mystery later.

I understand - I can do that - my Gravatar account does show the correct image - Problem is, it doesn't come through -- as you can see by the blank image on these posts. Before I changed the image, I had a photo there 🙁 I am totally flummoxed.

OK. but will you still be available in 45 minutes or so? It's noon my time and I have to feed the llama etc and shovel some snow. If now is your only time I can arrange to stay on now.

Not working - see new screen shot
    http://danakcassell.com/Testing/testing.html

    it's on this page

    Resources

(and yes, I did update the page and refresh my browser)

Note: Pages is not checked globally - because when I do that, the Comments show up on every page and I cannot undo the Comments on individual pages - which brings us back to my original problem

Sorry for being so obtuse about all this (plus trying to do 6 things at once) - I've posted the image on my test site

This is what shows now on a page (but I have Pages Comments off globally under general settings

uh-oh - how do I include a screen shot in here?

When I set it up initially, I checked for Comments to appear on posts and pages globally, which I had read needed to be done in order for them to be turned off on individual pages. And they did appear everywhere. Problem is, I could then NOT turn them off on individual pages. So for now, I have them turned off globally for pages because not having them is better than having them show up on totally irrelevant pages. I'm not sure what is wrong - or how to start over from scratch and how to do it correctly if I do.

I've turned the comments off the pages totally - will worry about getting them onyo a page when I reach the point where I need Comments, I guess. Probably find the solution when I'm searching for something else 🙂

If I remove the Comments from all the pages (leaving it only on posts), is there any plugin for placing a comments form on specific pages? That might be a workaround, since I cannot seem to get rid of the Comments individually as they now appear.

There is no check by those terms - that's the first thing I tried. If it helps, the URL is http://writerseditorsnetwork.com/ - and that's one of the pages I'm trying to get Comments off of - Am I seeing something other than a Comments form (I'm new to Genesis and Prose)?

Appreciate that info - right now I'm trying to figure out how to get the navigation bar to show up! back to the manual, I guess. It isn't as difficult as I've been trying to make it - just so much to do and so many choices!

Thank you. I must have done that, as the Prose theme is active and Genesis is not, but the Genesis settings appear as you stated. Appreciate your taking the time.

Thank you so much. That makes sense. Yeah, I'm not as concerned about Premise; as you say, lots of clear, step-by-step tutorials. Just wanted to get off on the right foot. Much appreciate your time and expertise.
