    Thank you Davinder. I added !important; as suggested. I cleared cache just to be sure, but the footer link color has not changed. My footer is now styled as follows:

    .site-footer {
    background-color: #76d2c5;
    color: #fff;
    font-size: 12px;
    padding: 36px;
    text-align: center;
    }

    .site-footer a {
    color: #fff; !important;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    .site-footer p {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    I can usually just troubleshoot this with firebug, but for some reason I'm missing something. The footer link color remains gold, so it's invisible. What else is there? It seems hyperlinks can only have one global color for whatever reason. I must be missing something!
