    Hello. Thank you so much! I was still waiting to hear back from my ticket but you have already helped me. I went ahead and reinstalled Genesis and now everything is back to normal and I can login to WordPress. Since I got hacked, I have changed my WordPress admin password.Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi,

    The other infected files were http://spam.hgfix.net/5579683.txt. Once I deleted those files, WordPress was no longer configured because I had to delete that infected WordPress config file. My host took care of that part and reconfigured WordPress for me, so my site is back up. I just can no longer log into WordPress wp-admin, so I was told to contact my theme vendor for the missing Genesis file.

    I opened a support ticket with StudioPress shortly after posting here. Hopefully they will be able to help me. If not, I will definitely contact you via your link.

    Thank You!

    Hi Victor! Thank you. It worked. I was making the changes in the wrong area. I made the changes in the built-in CSS editor and then I saw the changes. Thanks again!

    Hi, I decreased the padding to 0 for Front page 6 but it didn't make a difference. Maybe I'm asking the wrong thing. I am trying to decrease the white space above and beneath the image that I add to those widgets. If you can see in front page 6 widget, there is too much white space above and below my image. How do I reduce the white space? Here is my website.

    Thanks Vajra,

    I was a able to change the color of the menu but the site title is still white. I have tried everything and still not able to change the site title from white to black. It's only white on the home page but turns black when I scroll. How do I turn the color to black on the home page? My site

    Hi Victor,

    I am going into the style sheet and finding this code:

    .site-title {
    font-family: 'Raleway', sans-serif;
    font-size: 18px;
    font-size: 1.8rem;
    font-weight: 700;
    letter-spacing: 1px;
    line-height: 1;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    I typed in another font to replace the font 'Raleway' and then click update. Is this not the correct way to change the font?

    Summer,

    I am hearing more and more horror stories like yours when it comes to Hostgator. There customer service is horrible and I can't afford to lose the time that I lost this past few days. I just wish Hostgator would admit when there are problems on their end instead of blaming customer's site optimization. I've heard some good things about A Small Orange Hosting which I am considering moving to.

    I just need a reliable host and not have to worry about servers being down and horrible customer service.

    Thank you so much Christopher. I used the tools that you provided. I had to deactivate a couple of plugins and that seemed to get the site back to normal.

    Thanks!

    Hi Julia,

    It doesn't happen each time but it happens more times than not. I'm not sure why the text sometimes does not display right.

    I usually use Chrome and that's where I notice the problem. The social icons are not loading most of the time.

    I'm sorry. What I meant is that my simple social icons are not always loading properly. Instead of the icons displaying inside of the squares, it only shows little boxes inside the squares. This happens more times than not. The icons don't actually display until I drag my cursor across the boxes.
