Using Blisk to test mobile devices, I discovered this:
it displays properly in android phones and on Apple 5, 6, and 7 but not 6s, 6plus, 7plus, etc.
The bug also shows up in Chrome on an iPhone (which has the bug in Safari)

I'm having the same issue. It uses the image within the content as the featured image. Even with no featured image set it shows up twice. I created a 1x1px transparent png and set it as the featured image as a workaround, but would really like the coding fixed.
