Hi David
Yes to both of your questions. It's the Genesis default featured image that isn't working and I was hoping to avoid editing 500+ posts to set individual featured images manually.
Any suggestions?
Angela
AngelaEloiseMemberI'm having the same problem. I uploaded my header image using the Appearance > Header upload, but it did not create an automatic link for me either. Where would be the best place to manually place the hyperlink into the header code?
AngelaEloiseMemberI installed the Genesis Featured Image and WordPress Related Post plugins. Both are set to use a default image as the featured image when none has been set in a post. Neither of them is working.
(Featured Video plugin is working fine.)
Anyone else having this problem?
AngelaEloiseMemberI added this to the Miscellaneous section in my style.css:
.home-top .featuredpost p {
margin-bottom:12px !important;
}Worked like a charm!
AngelaEloiseMemberHm. Maybe there's a <p> spacing fix that can be widget-specific. Worth a shot.
Thanks! 🙂
AngelaEloiseMemberHi!
You seem to be doing something with your sidebars that I'm trying to do, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me?
I want to create a sidebar that will appear on single post, archive, category pages that is different from the primary sidebar on the home page. I created a custom sidebar in Simple Sidebars, but I don't know where or how to add this to the PHP to achieve the desired effect.
I've installed the Layout Extras plugin. This lets me specify what kind of layout each page will have, but not what sidebar will appear on each page. I don't want to add additional columns to any page; I just want to be able to control which content is visible in the sidebar on pages other than the home page.
I'm new to Genesis and still trying to figure out how to customize. I don't really know how to code PHP but can make simple edits given an example.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

March 18, 2013 at 12:13 pm in reply to: How to add pagination on Metro theme homepage that uses widgets #29070AngelaEloiseMemberThat is exactly what I've been trying to do!
Rather than using a plugin, I was advised to edit the home.php to include or move the post loop outside the widget area. I haven't been able to figure it out though; having syntax errors.
Do you know how to do that?
AngelaEloiseMemberTerrific! Thanks so much.
For Genesis users, there also is a default featured image plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-featured-images/
AngelaEloiseMemberThat would have a video appearing in the Home Top section of the home page all the time. I want Metro to recognize a video as an image so that when there is a video imbedded in a post, the video can be set as the featured image.
That plugin for default featured images was exactly what I needed. Thanks!
