Thank you!
anewcreationParticipantJust to clarify, it's the word "Blog" at the top of the page that I am trying to remove. This word was automatically removed from the other websites I made so I'm not sure why it's there. Thanks so much! Jeanne

anewcreationParticipantIt's fixed. I called godaddy and the rep said he edited the cache, and that cleared up the problem. Thanks to everyone who responded to my post, I appreciate it.
anewcreationParticipantThanks so much for your post! I did more research this morning, and from what I've been reading, it seems to be happening to sites that are hosted by godaddy. I went on to the godaddy forum and found a posting with the same error message, and an employee posted something that seems it has to do with the wordpress update and godaddy upgrades:
Here is what he wrote:
To support the PHP 5.6 upgrade, we upgraded the caching tier to Redis. Unfortunately, this is causing performance issues in some datacenters, which is what you're seeing. We're working on a fix now with the goal of rolling it out in the next week or so along with the rest of the PHP 5.6 upgrades.

anewcreationParticipantHi, Thanks so much for your post. I've been looking through google, but haven't found anything that can help me yet. I'll keep looking. Thanks again, Jeanne

I tried comparing the code from the two themes, but haven't been successful yet. I'll keep trying. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my original post.

anewcreationParticipantThanks so much!
anewcreationParticipantHi Brad,
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I uploaded the latest Genesis version and it fixed the problem!
Jeanne : )
anewcreationParticipantGood idea. I'll try that.
anewcreationParticipantHi Brad,
The genesis-responsive-slider.php file was edited to make the header image center while in mobile responsive view, this was a while ago. My test site has the same alteration, and it works fine, so I'm not sure if that is the problem.
Today, when the person from godaddy switched the themes to see if that was the issue, I was finally able to get into the WordPress dashboard again, so it seems it may be the theme. Once I was in the dashboard, I then saw it was asking for a Genesis update. I updated it, and enabled the executive pro theme, but the site didn't look right on the front end, everything was missing except the site color and the logo at the top of the page. I had to do a "restore" so at least the site looked ok on the front end. It's very confusing. I'm at a loss as to how to get the site back to being able to access the WordPress dashboard, or to get back in to update Genesis again and do tests.
Thanks so much,
Jeanne
anewcreationParticipantSince I had two links in my message, wanted to make sure you knew which site I was having problems with, it's this site: http://www.hspmentor.com Thanks again. Jeanne

June 11, 2016 at 8:05 pm in reply to: Plug-in that Creates a Form and places it under the Header #187404anewcreationParticipantHi Victor! Thank you for taking the time to post. I was inputting the CSS wrong. It's correct now.. So happy!
June 10, 2016 at 9:48 pm in reply to: Plug-in that Creates a Form and places it under the Header #187371anewcreationParticipantOr, is there a way to add a vertical MailPoet sign-up form in the actual header itself, that would sit on top of the header image, on the left side? This way, I wouldn't have to format it, I would just need to figure out how to get it in the header.
anewcreationParticipant.Hi Christoph,
You were absolutely right. I added the following code below to the style.css file to include (inline-block) and they lined up! Thank you.
widget_wysija .wysija-submit, .widget_wysija .wysija-paragraph {display: inline-block; height: 55}
I'm having some other issues and I tried to figure it out for about 4 hours with no luck, and now I am out of ideas. I"m trying to put it together on my testing site, http://www.creativewordpressdesigns.com, and then after I figure it out, I'll create it on a real site.
I want my banner layout to look like the following banner layout:
This is how my banner looks:
I tried to move the name, email, and submit button over to the right, but nothing was working. I tired "float: right, That moved the submit button over, but for some reason, it kept the email and name fields in the same location but just moved them to the top of the banner, instead of to the right.
Also, along with not being able to move those three items over to the right, the items don't seem to be showing up correctly on a phone. Here is what it looks like on my iphone 6.
You had mentioned that you were not sure what call to action area I was talking about. In the widget section, where you can place featured items on the home page, or place items in the footer and so on, there is a call to action slot where you can place a text box and code on the executive pro theme. Here is screenshot of this area so you know what I'm referring to:
The form code is created in MailPoet, I then copied the html and placed it in the call to action widget area. Then I added some styles to the style.css file:
widget_wysija .wysija-submit, .widget_wysija .wysija-paragraph {display: inline-block; height: 55}
.widget_wysija input[name="wysija[user][email]"] font-size: 9px; width: 170px; height: 55px}
.widget_wysija input[name="wysija[user][firstname]"] {font-size: 9px; width: 170px; height: 55px}
.wysija-submit-field {height: 55px;}Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
Jeanne
anewcreationParticipantIt worked perfectly! Thanks again.
