MemberThanks for all the feedback.
I have considered a CRM but the client would prefer to manage from the back end of WordPress if possible. It could be an option to find a membership plugin that works with third party crm software. We will need to communicate via email to members so this is a viable solution, if I can find the right plugin and crm that work together.
Ren, thank you sending the links on user meta. This is a grey area for me so I will read everything you've provided and see if I can work out a solution with what you suggest. It will be a bit of a learning curve but that's what makes working with WP so enjoyable.
I now have a couple of options so will do my research on both before I come back with further questions.
Cheers,

MemberHe Ren,
Thank you so much for replying to my query. I agree with your response to my #3 in this case they were using a separate database and were going to continue with that until they realized they had to renew the software license this January. They then decided they may as well add it to the site. Naturally they just assumed I'd do that for free! I don't think so.
I've read your post and will go back through it in detail but I do have a question re MemberPress. Normally a membership site will only capture the data that is filled out in a form. In MemberPress can we add additional details in the back end where the client can manually add more information, that the member doesn't see or isn't part of the form? I hope that makes sense.

MemberThank you braddalton.
I think that was my Dah! moment. Didn't occur to me to just drag and drop the text widget in the Home Slider widget. How simple is that.

MemberOk thanks braddalton. I presume I just find the entire code in Functions.php and copy and paste with a new name. What could go wrong.

MemberHi Davinder,
Sorry for the delay in getting back regarding your suggestion. I tried the plugin Responsive Google Map but it was worse than the routeplanner I'm currently using. For a start it didn't seem to like using a New Zealand address and had my client located in New Delhi. That would be a long drive!
Looks like I am stuck with what we have. Am quite surprised that a basic mobile function, and one of the key ones, is this hard to resolve.
Cheers

MemberThanks Davinder,
Was hoping not to purchase without testing first. What I thought would be a simple task is costing quite a bit, which I can't pass on to the client.
What I find interesting is that none of these so called responsive maps show you what to expect on a mobile device i.e. smart phone. All screen shots and previews seem to be desktop view.

MemberIt must be. Hard to keep up with all the changes they make.

MemberI resolved it. Google wasn't recognizing the website listing only the Places listing. The website listing was stuck on page 2 for weeks at the end of the directory listings and sites that scrape information, which shouldn't happen. I used every tool I could in Webmaster to get it indexed, fixed a couple of things on the site and finally we got there. The result is what you now see.

MemberI've built many new sites, including four of my own and never had this happen. They showed for the business name within days. It doesn't make sense to have extremely poor directories and other sites that are scraping information to show above the actual company a person is looking for. Google typically would not do that. I appreciate your help but will keep looking.
I would still like to know why Webmaster does not recognise Genesis SEO structured data as that is an issue anyway.
Anahere
MemberI'm not sure what you mean by feed but I validated the site in Webmaster and added the XML site map as well. I used a plugin to get that code.
Anahere
MemberYes. Set up webmaster tools to get Google to fetch and to index. All SEO done - hence original question on why Google is not seeing that structured data via Webmaster. All my other clients were seeing their sites within days specifically using their company names (not general search terms). This has been almost four weeks so something is definitely wrong.

MemberNo, this is their first.

MemberGoogle NZ - the screen grab you sent is for the Google Places listing. Go to page two and you will see the website listed at the bottom. That should not happen. They should come up under their own business name before any directory listing and next to their places listing.

MemberUsing Gannaway Mercer, since that is what they want to come up for. When I search for that their Google listing comes up but their website is hidden at the bottom of page two. I've asked a number of friends to check and they get the same result, as does the client. So I am at a loss.

MemberHi, it is the one I provided - http://gannaway.co.nz

MemberNo I had not but really like the example you have provided. I have a temporary fix but will seriously consider your option. I appreciate your help.

MemberThanks Sridhar,
I changed the button size, but what do I do to get it to sit in the next line not in the same line as the text?
In regards to slide excerpt - it looks better but this is the code I have, which is different to your suggestion. Should I be changing the padding here or adding your code?
.agency .slide-excerpt {
filter: alpha(opacity=100);
margin: 0;
padding: 22px 40px 22px 20px;
opacity: 1.0;
}Regards,

MemberFound the problem... wp content / themes / executive / functions - now all fixed.
Alas, it looks like I am stuck with the Nav above the slider so I am back to square one.
Appreciate your help though.

MemberWell, lesson learnt... I broke the site, I have an error message that I have an extra syntax } on line 177.
I'm in the file manager area of my cpanel and can see functions under WP content themes but now I am not sure if the formatting.php is the place I need to be. Any suggestions?
Also, how do i know which is line 177?A.

MemberShould I be adding the code before or after anything specific? I am presuming this is in the editor area of WP Appearance and not in my Cpanel php admin area.
