Yoast – Schema

Hoping someone can help me with this blog post from Yoast regarding adding Schema.
Schema.org & Genesis 2.0

Half way down the article states:

"With Genesis 2.0 though, it’s as simple as adding this before the genesis() call:

add_filter( 'genesis_attr_entry', 'yoast_schema_event', 20 );
add_filter( 'genesis_attr_entry-title', 'yoast_itemprop_name', 20 );
add_filter( 'genesis_attr_entry-content', 'yoast_itemprop_description', 20 );
add_filter( 'genesis_post_title_output', 'yoast_title_link_schema', 20 );
add_filter( 'genesis_attr_content', 'yoast_schema_empty', 20 );

I don't understand where the genesis() call is? I understand the rest of the article but can't seem to get my head around where "genesis()" call is - I don't see it in function.php for the theme?

Thank you to anyone that understands this as the comments on the page indicate it makes sense to everyone else!

It'll be in a few possible files depending on your child theme. Basically anything in the template hierarchy or custom templates. For example, many of the child themes have a front-page.php and page-landing.php. If you make your own templates, it'll be the last line in the php file.

Its a function which can be added to a file using the

genesis();
