    Hey guys. I'm Genesis child.

    Just checking in.

Signed up for the forum as I have just purchased the Genesis Framework and uploaded it to WordPress which I have hosted on a server that is NOT WordPress.com

I've probably already said something that is wrong but hey I'm fresh as and I'm sure you guys are used to a bit of that, you know, newb and all.

N E way I signed up for the forum because I already have a question. I am going to have a good look around to see if it has already been answered on the forum because I know how forum users just LOVE someone who asks a question that has been asked and answered a million times before LOL!

However in saying that just for giggles and maybe some cheery outstanding member will answer my question before I even find the answer because they are just that awesome!

As I said I have uploaded the framework, theme, whatever into my wordpress and activated it and I am all set to start customising my site and wreaking havoc on my sanity.

Sooooo my question. Can I (should I) just start tootooing around with everything or should I be installing some short of child theme over top. I don't really want to have to buy a child theme and the whole reason I bought the Genesis Framework was because I want to start building on a excellent foundation sooooooo I'm not super interested in running a free child theme over top of it.

Arghhhhh the question already! Again can I (should I) just start editing the Genesis Parent Theme (is that even what it is) or can I run Genesis over top of Genesis as a child theme? If that makes sense.

So yeah that's my query. I probably would have found my answer by now instead of writing all this but what is done is done. I'm off to find my answer. But if someone wants to answer this and potentially save me time.

    Don't be a stranger!

    Genesis Child out!
