    I'm using Modern Portfolio Pro - child theme and have made a custom page template that I'm using as the home page. I've noticed that there is NO h1 tag ...?? I would like to wrap the site-description in h1 tags is this possible?? I found a blog post that gives a code snippet to wrap the site-title in h1 tags (I couldn't get that to work but that's not what I wanted anyway)

    I appreciate any help!

    Hi,

    you could use the genesis_site_description_wrap filter.

    Something like

    add_filter( 'genesis_site_description_wrap', 'change_homepage_site_description_to_h1' );
    function change_homepage_site_description_to_h1( $wrap ) {
        return 'h1';
    }

    in your page template.

    I added it into the page template as you mentioned but it didn't work..

    I think maybe you meant to say functions.php file; which is where I put it and it works great 😉

    I need to get you another coffee ...

    Is there a way to put a condition on it so it only shows on the home page tho?
