MemberHi all,
Has anyone been able to get the wp-pagenavi plugin working with metro-pro when using the genesis featured posts widget?
I cannot use the featured post amplified plugin.
Thanks,
Frank

MemberI have used the amplified feature post with Metro. The only issue I have is it doesn't like to change the content/excerpt field and have to fiddle with it. I find this in general with all of my genesis sites,
I use so I can pull posts ( not pages!) to front page in home middle left/right widget positions from different categories.
If their is a better way would love to hear. Why cant you use that plugin?

MemberI think Brad means that WP-PageNavi is not needed, not saying that GFWA is not needed.
WP-PageNavi is not needed anymore because the option for numerical page navigation is an option built into the Genesis settings.

Memberthe problem is that navigation does not show up with the standard featured posts plugin (unless all posts are in the same category). With the featured post amplified plugin Genesis navigation works fine. The amplified plugin causes too many other issues for me though.
Thanks

MemberThe navigation built into Genesis and in the WP-PageNavi plugin aren't meant for navigation from the widgets... there's no hook to them that I'm aware of, but I could be wrong. I thought both of those were designed only for navigation through the archives, where the navigation links from the widgets were handled by Featured Posts plugins. So I'm not sure they'd work together without some serious recoding.
And yes, GFWA seems to have problems if you try to go beyond the basics into the Amplified features it was initially designed for. Not sure if it's ever going to be updated, which is a shame... 'twas an indispensible feature for a lot of my sites.
