    Hello,

My site is located here http://intunegp.com/

I would like to replace the the Default Genesis Responsive Slider with the WP-Cycle plugin on my home page, I understand I have to add the code <?php wp_cycle(); ?> into the theme where I want WP-Cycle to appear... but I'm not 100% confident as to which template to install it in, or where I should put it?

Any help from the Guru's would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot,
    Jack.

I suggest you use a slider plugin like Soliloquy or Easing Slider if you don't need the Genesis slider.

Another great option is included in Jetpack. You can easily create galleries, slider shows and mosaic tiled galleries.

Otherwise you can add the PHP to a custom function with a hook and conditional tag using the code you have provided.

    Hey Brad...

Thanks for the reply... I'm not sure you understood my question... I know I have to add the code <?php wp_cycle(); ?>.

My question was - Which outreach file do I add it to - home.php, functions.php or page landing php?
And, where in the file do I add the <?php wp_cycle(); ?> code to place it in the same location as the Responsive Slider?

Thanks a lot for any help,

    Regards,
    Jack

    Hey Jack

Please copy this code from the view raw link and paste it at the end of your child themes functions.php file using a text editor.

You can change the conditional tag and hook position easily.

Rather than use the code i embedded above, please add the shortcode for the slider in a text widget and drag that into the slider widget area.

    [wp_cycle]

You may also need to add support for short codes in widgets.

Okay.... it seems that the change is working perfectly in Mozilla, but it doesn't appear to be working in Explorer? 🙁

Maybe its browser caching. Try Tools > Delete Browser History.

I figured it out... it was a McAfee plugin that was stopping the wp-cycle rotation, must have thought it was a pop-up ad or something.

    Thanks Again Brad
