    Hello,

I am trying to recreate the project page of http://demo.studiopress.com/workstation/example-project-page-1/

My first problem was that despite not having a featured image, the first image I uploaded to the page was duplicated. I then tried to add another image under the first image, but it inserted itself (full-size) above the first image. I was getting confused so I erased all of the page content with the intention of starting from scratch.

However, the second image I uploaded is still full-size on the page. There is NO text in the text editor for this page. I suspect if you can help me figure out where this image is coming from, it will help me solve my duplicate image problem.

Please also note, at no time have I specified a featured image for this page.

    Thank you,
    Nanci Murdock

What happens if you delete the image from the Media Library?

It replaces the image on the page with thumbnail of the featured image.

    Not really.

I would prefer to set the images on the page, without involving the 'featured image'. It concerns me that without a featured image or an image on the page, the theme is pulling in random images from the library. This feels like a bug.

It's coded into Genesis that way.

I suggest you add text as the 1st paragraph in the editor and then your images.

You can turn off thumbnails using the Genesis > Theme Settings > Archive page settings for displaying featured images however you archives will not show the thumbnail.

You can also prevent Genesis pulling in images using code

You can also remove the code in your functions file on line 121 which displays the featured image before the content on single posts.
