Has anyone else suddenly started experiencing just terrible lag and sometimes the outright impossibility of working in WordPress Admin to, say, write a post? It seemed to start with one of the latest updates in WordPress. I'll just try to open the comments section, or update a post, and the status indicator just spins and spins. Eventually I get the now dreaded "Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected...." error message.
My hosting service said that during one of the session where I experienced this, my site was showing a lot of php script activity. I'm thinking plugin, but before I go disabling every flipping plugin on my site, I thought I'd ask about it here.
Could be your code and plugins aren't efficient.
It seems that the problem with the “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected….” error message is pretty common now and hundreds of folks are wondering how they can fix it. It's more than just a message. It is accompanied by an actual latency issue that did not exist until very recently. Is there anyone else here on the forum who has had this problem and solved it?
Just thought I'd try asking this again. I'm still struggling with it.
I think I may have found the culprit. The StudioPress Accelerator plug-in seems to have been the cause. I disabled it and have not had the problem again. If it re-appears, I'll post here. In the mean time, if that is the problem, aren't others who use that plug-in seeing the same thing?
