I have searched the forum but did not see my issues addressed.

I have created a gallery using the WP default gallery. I need help with the following 2 issues:

    1. When you click on an image, I want to modify the attachment so that it has no sidebar, no date at the top, does not have "Written by deb" at the bottom, and it renders a larger, centered image.

    2. Although I resized the top 21 images to the same dimensions, they still vary.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi,
It seems the images are not the same size as per the example below.
    cookhouse-.jpg - 4,032px ?— 3,024px (scaled to 656px ?— 492px)

    firering-in-front-of-lodge-1.jpg - 2,048px ?— 1,365px (scaled to 738px ?— 492px)

You may 'batch resize' in many image programs, Photoshop etc. or the free image program, Irfanview.

Personally I'd use NextGEN Gallery for this as it has the features you're looking for.

    Smiley,
Thanks so much for your helpful response. By the time you responded I had already used the Envira Gallery Lite plugin for the website I reference but have since used NextGEN Gallery on another website. Appreciate the tip!

As for the image sizing, you are so right! Sometimes I make myself crazy. ¯\_?_/¯

    Again, thanks for your help.

    No worries DB,
NextGEN & Gutenberg are having some teething issues however they can be made to work together.
