Hi All! I'm looking for help or directions on how to add some extra features to the WordPress Customize section. I would like my customers to be able to use the customizer to easily change fonts and colors throughout their blog. Is there a studiopress theme that already does this? I can grab the code from that theme. Or is there a tutorial somewhere that can show me how to do this?

    Thanks everyone 🙂

    Hi,

I´m not aware of a Studiopress theme that does it all. Author Pro or Workstation Pro might be good starting points...
I know that Ren Ventura (engagewp.com or @CLE_Ren on Twitter) created a plugin and integrated it into his themes to have extensive Customizer integration. I´m not sure if he is still selling them, though...

Here are links to a few resources:

Thanks Christoph! I messed around with a few different codes yesterday and finally got the customizing colors to work. I had to use a combination of 2 tutorials to do this. I used http://buildwpyourself.com/building-theme-color-options-customizer/ and http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2013/03/the-wordpress-theme-customizer-a-developers-guide/

I found some tutorials for fonts but they seemed more extensive then what I'm comfortable with coding. I decided to use this plugin instead https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/ and plan to create a tutorial to show clients how to use it.

    Thanks again!

I´m glad you figured it out!
You should write a post/tutorial about it. 🙂
