WooCommerce- renaming the WordPress SQL table prefix?

I am having an issue with the emails being sent out to customers- they do not contain the download link to the product.

Which says "This happens because a SQL table called wp_woocommerce_downloadable_product_permissions is missing in your database.

When activating WooCommerce, a few new SQL tables are added in your database. You can find the list of all tables here. But this process can fail sometimes if the WordPress SQL tables prefix is too long: the table name can’t contain more than 64 characters.

To solve this issue, there’s only one single solution: renaming the WordPress SQL table prefix. "

I installed the Change DB Prefix plug in, but I am not sure what I am changing to what in order to fix this issue. Can you tell me what I need to type in these boxes:

existing prefix
new prefix

You will need to be very careful because doing this can easily break your entire site. It's also a large risk to take without knowing for sure that this is the problem. Do you know how many characters your DB prefix is? Since this is much more dangerous than editing files, you may want to consider hiring a developer to look into it. In the very least, make sure you have a backup before doing anything to the database.

Hi Ren,
Thanks for your feedback- I totally agree, this is probably too risky. After talking to the WooCommerce people, they are suggesting that this issue is something my host needs to fix. I'll contact them.

That's what I initially thought but then I reread and saw that your emails are indeed sending (just without a specific portion). If a host was causing this, it would be interesting to know how. If not, they'll probably tell you to look in the code. If they aren't able to help, another place to check would be your WooCommerce email templates if they may have been edited at some point. Hopefully you get it working.

This is what they told me

"Ok so then this isn't a WooCommerce issue per say but server level. Some servers do not allow "Force Downloads" due to size limitations. So please consult with your host to see what options you have in that regards. "
