Hi, this is not a support question per say, but pre-install of Genesis for a new site.
I'm wondering what is the life expectancy of the Pro themes I purchased (only one is left "current" in my list along with the Genesis framework).
Two questions:
1- Will Genesis be with us in 5 years?
2- Is Genesis dedicated to Gutenberg as a priority now, or it is still good to use the Classic Editor with it?

Was taking a stroll down Genesis lane when I realized still a bit of activity here. Here's my journey to FSE from Genesis...
I used the Genesis Block Theme along with the Blocks Pro plugin when they were first released. But its a hybrid theme and wasn't being actively developed.
When Brian Gardner released Frost, which IS an FSE theme, I switched over then and used the Create Block Theme plugin for child themes. I also moved away from Genesis Blocks Pro plugin at that time, opting to stick with core blocks for now.
Frost seems to be WPEngine's FSE anchor in the dotorg repo. Gardner handed Frost over to WPEngine and then went on to release Powder, a stripped down version of Frost. Baselayer, a stripped down version of Powder followed soon after. I've used all three.
I'm also interested in any community insight or feedback on this. We used Genesis as framework for many years, and still have a few sites running off custom child themes based on it. But switched to another theme & framework a few years back. That one, though, just does way too much arbitrary (and NOT well thought out) markup and styling changes all the time with updates, so design can often break and needs to be carefully checked anytime updating theme on sites.
So thinking about switching back due to Genesis rarely, if ever, making changes that affect styling or layout of your custom child themes. But saw that, until yesterday, Genesis only had about 3 updates over the last 3 years. Suppose, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". But want to be sure it's still being actively supported and developed if we switch back.
