    Hello,

I've recently been thinking of changing my genesis theme to a new one as it's been a couple of years since I last changed looks. My main issues with the present theme is the sidebar feature feeling outdated, so I'm interested in a full width newer look like the Parallax Pro for instance.

Thanks to Genesis and much speed optimizations I managed to rank really well in google bringing me organically 20k unique hits a day. I've often heard changing themes in blogs can seriously affect rankings which is why I decided to go with a framework to diminish these problems.

I'm still curious however, what can I expected if I do go ahead? Is there any resources I can read that may help me in reducing the impact of the theme change?

    Thank you.

I'm using the Swank child theme: https://prettydarncute.com/demos/swank/ (apologies for the bit.ly above, I don't like getting forum backlinks).

It might. I would ask on the Google Webmaster Forums
