    Hi,
    I want to create a widget area for the home page only, I tried with a shortcode but that didn't work, and here's the code that I used that I found on http://www.nutsandboltsmedia.com/how-to-add-a-widget-area-to-a-page-using-genesis/ slightly modified, but it creates the widget area, but then what's in the widget doesn't show up.

    genesis_register_sidebar( array(
    'id' => 'pagewidget',
    'name' => __( 'Home Page Left Widget', 'nabm' ),
    'description' => __( 'This is the widget for the left of the home page.', 'nabm' ),
    ) );

    add_action( 'genesis_after_content', 'nabm_add_page_content' );
    function nabm_add_page_content() {
    if ( is_page('http://kerenby.cohndesigns.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=6&action=edit') )
    genesis_widget_area( 'pagewidget', array(
    'before' => '<div id="pagewidget">',
    ) );
    }

    if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

    This part is the issue:

    if ( is_page(‘http://kerenby.cohndesigns.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=6&action=edit’) )

    It should only have the ID number from that URL, as mentioned in the tutorial. So it should look like this:

    if ( is_page( '6' ) )
