I'm trying to make my site as fast as possible.

With that in mind, what's the optimal way of adding Google Analytics?

    1. In Genesis / Theme Settings / Header and Footer Scripts / wp_head()
    2. Through a plugin, like Google Analytics by Yoast
    3. Another option you may suggest

    Thanks.

I know options 1 and 2 are both good, but I'd like to know which is best in terms of site speed.

Code it's best way for performance, so 1st would be better in my opinion (and I think it would be better introducing it by hand in the child-theme code by enqueueing it... but not very sure if has any difference).

I use option #1 and see no reason to use any others.

    Just Dave,

Thanks. That's the conclusion I've come to myself. Why use a plugin when there's a place for the code provided by Genesis?
