I've done some research on this and there seem to be 3 ways to add Google fonts to a Genesis child theme:

    1. via code in functions.php
    2. via @import in CSS
    3. via HTML in header (using Simple Hook plugin)

Which way is recommended by the SP gurus? Or does it not matter?

    Hi,
I usually use the import method. But there has been some discussion that using the functions.php method can be faster. I would recommend reading Brian's article, which is probably the most reliable source. You'll see there are situations where either is good.

Personally, I'd rather not fill up the header with more material, but that's just my preference.
