It appears that Wellness Pro sticky message is incompatible with the plugin "Remove query strings from static resources". I changed my sticky message background-color to darkolivegreen and the "sticky message a" color to antiquewhite in a Desktop Server dev mode and it looks great! It doesn't take on the live site though. I deactivated all my plug-ins and it's the "Remove query strings from static resources" that is the culprit. When I deactivate it, the background color change is visible although the color of the text remained the old color.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

When you remove query strings from static resources, the browser can't determine when a style sheet has been updated. So instead of downloading the style sheet again from the web server, it uses what it already has stored in its cache. The same will happen when the style sheet version number isn't updated. Make sure you clear all caches and hold down the shift key when you reload the page to force the style sheet to reload.
