    I just want to confirm what I've read because I'm doing a site redesign and would like not to create problems when I install it over the current site.

    When I create an internal link I can use an absolute link that starts with a forward slash / and the rest of the URL but not the domain name. Correct?

    so /is-this-you/ rather than https://test3.sharinghousing.com/is-this-you/

    Very basic but I'm self taught and when I started simply punted and always used the full URL.

    What you want to do is called a relative link. It is relative to your site. An absolute link is the complete URL spelled out.

    Yes, you can use relative links for links internal to your site. When the source code is rendered in the browser, they will be absolute links appended to your site url.
