Can anyone give some clues as to how I can produce Vertically Sliding Content in a genesis child theme?

The page content slides over a large background image and the background images change depending which part of the page you are viewing

a little like the sample URL below [which is not a genesis child theme site]

if you scroll down on that page you will see the effect.

    thanks

    Philip

They are using CSS to control the background image

    Here's a simple solution https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryhow_css_parallax_demo.htm

    Thanks Brad,

Yes that is the effect but would you know how to implement that on the GENESIS SAMPLE CHILD THEME for example?

I use a version of that child theme, that I modified, for most of my client sites.

    thanks

Is this for widget areas with image backgrounds? What template are you using to display the full width images.

    1. Use the CSS from here to fix the background images https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryhow_css_parallax_demo.htm

    Or

    2. You can see how its done in the Parallax Pro theme.
