Hi I am using News Pro Theme Version: 3.0.0 - I am confused on what is happening because I haven't seen this with any of my other Studio Press Themes -- I understand that google can come up with their own Meta Title and Meta Description but feel in my gut something else is happening. Several top SEO from a SEO group where John Mueller and other Google Search employees and top contributors hang out in also are stumped why this is happening and haven't seen it before.

Time to time I search all my sites in google by site:VC-List.com to just see what is happening and one of my site in search almost every meta title is using the actual title and has the site name at the end of it, even thought I have not requested this to be in the back end - I write each meta title and description out manually. I can't seem to understand what is going wrong and why it is going wrong. I really don't want the verbiage VC List at the end of each title for a few different reasons such as it throws off the keywords I am targeting, as well not every page of my site/publication is about a list of VC's but advice on other topics such as crowdfunding or valuation or the many other topics startups deal with. I can't imagine my meta titles are so bad in Googles eyes that they have to take my blog title and then throw VC List at the end of each one so what is happening. As well all my sites, over 50 different WP sites many of them StudioPress themes all of them have the same Yoast and the same setting but do not have this same issue. I notice this is only happening in Google Search because Bing it is correct with this particular site.

One idea was mentioned that I might have authoritative sites using VC List as anchor text linking to our site. This isn't the case because in total I have only 4 links that use "VC List" as anchor text and only 2 of those are dofollow - The two that are dofollow have ahref UR of 8 and 0

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

If you ever don't get a response here in the forum, you might want to try posting in the Genesis Slack Group.
