    Hi Everyone

    I need urgent help!

I was customizing my functions.php in my genesis eleven40 theme following the instructions here http://sridharkatakam.com/adding-banner-image-header-eleven40-pro/

And when I had added the things to the functions.php and hit update the site just went to a white page. Now it just goes to a completely blank page. Can't even access the wordpress dashboard! Nothing!

Would adding a fresh copy of the functions.php to via ftp fix this? I am assuming this won't erase any of my posts or anything?

Not sure how this has affected my whole site even the wordpress dashboard?? Or would this be a coincidence that it happened while I was working on the functions.php and it's something more sinister??

Any urgent help on this would be hugely appreciated.

    Nathan

You could download the site's current functions.php to your desktop via FTP program such as FileZilla or CyberDuck. Open the functions.php file in a text editor, and either remove the code that you added and broke your site, or correct the mistakes if you see them. You can then upload it back on to your site via FTP, and replace the existing file.
