Is there an easy way to upgrade from Metro 1.0 the the newest version Metro Pro without losing all my current settings?

    Hi,

Easy = Not really, if you've made changes to the core theme files (i.e. style.css, functions.php, or home.php).

If you've made extensive changes to your original Metro, I'd recommend just updating to Genesis 2.0 and optionally enable HTML5 (if you do the latter, you'll need to update your CSS from XHTML to HTML5 markup per this: http://my.studiopress.com/docs/genesis-markup-comparison/).

If you haven't really done customizations beyond what you find in Genesis > Theme Settings and your widget areas, go for the upgrade to Metro Pro. 🙂
