I'm having a problem where the text in the homepage widgets in the Altitude Pro theme isn't wrapping/justifying properly. If you go to http://exampl37.c02.tmdcloud.com/#front-page-6, you'll see that the "Get the Right Customers" section isn't wrapping properly – the word "want" on the second line should be on the first line.

A similar problem is present in the "Generate Press & Publicity" section ("release"), and pops up in other places in this section depending upon the browser width.

Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Adam,
I suspect it's because you are using the html for the apostrophe
Let’s face it, you don’t want
Try typing don't & Let's directly into the text or Custom HTML widget you're using.

You're the second person this week with the same issue but the earlier one may have been for a different theme. I don't remember exactly.

Something is inserting non-breaking spaces in your text at various places. You can see them if you use your browser's built-in inspection tool and edit the code as HTML.

When non-breaking spaces are inserted before and after a word, it forces the browser to treat all three words as one long word that won't break.

You'll have to troubleshoot what's causing the non-breaking spaces, i.e., plugin, page-builder, anything that processes content, etc. It could even be WordPress itself. Whatever the case, the text won't wrap properly until the non-breaking spaces are removed.

I suspect it's your html editor. You're adding the html for the apostrophy. E.G.

    Thanks, Victor.

I'll do some testing with turning off plugins and see if I can fix it. I'll report back here if I find a solution.

Your editor is adding the html for an apostrophe. Try typing directly into the widget.

That's great, smiley! Changing the apostrophe to HTML fixed the first section (Get the Right Customers), but swapping out all special characters in the second section (Generate Press & Publicity) for HTML didn't do anything there. Do you have any ideas for that one?

    One down.
I changed press release. Reporters TO press release.Reporters and then back to press release. Reporters - It worked.
I'd copy the text into a plain text app, notepad on Windoze or textedit on Mac, to strip out any hidden characters.
Then copy that into the widget & test.
If you're using Custom HTML, try the text widget instead or vica versa.

That fixed it. The weird thing was that it was a text widget and I changed it to Custom HTML, but that didn't help. Copying it to a plaintext editor and back fixed it, though.

    Thanks!

    Great,
For the help of others with the same issue, what HTML editor are you designing in?

I wasn't designing in anything, but an assistant copied and pasted that particular text from an existing website without removing special characters first, so that was the problem.

For other people reading this thread, the lesson here is to not copy and paste formatted text into these widgets, as you might get unexpected invisible characters (specifically non-breaking spaces) that cause text wrapping and/or formatting problems.
