    Hello,
    i have put a few websites online - all using wordpress genesis - and on all of them the text is far too light -
    unreadable .

    i have researched various causes on the net to see if any of these might be the problem, and cant find the cause.
    i know its not my monitor because i changed the monitor and it these sites using genesis still have very light text - but no other sites.

    i would be interested if anyone knows how to darken the text - THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE OF THE SITE - not just on the page shown.

    here is one sample site
    http://www.groupbuyings.com
    the text is just about readable if you change the screen resolution - but then the screen resolution is too big and you cant fit hardly anything on the page.

    Hi,

    to change the color of the font you can edit the style.css.

    Around line 129 you find the following code:

    body {
        color: #333;
        font-family: Lato,sans-serif;
        font-size: 18px;
        font-weight: 300;
        line-height: 1.625;
    }

    To make the font black change it to color: #000;
    and/or you can increase the font-weight.

    Headlines can be adjusted around line 221 the same way as above.

    h1,
    h2,
    h3,
    h4,
    h5,
    h6 {
    	color: #333;
    	font-family: Lato, sans-serif;
    	font-weight: 400;
    	line-height: 1.2;
    	margin: 0 0 10px;
    }

    Thank you very much for that Christoph,
    i will follow your instructions and see if that works,
    but it was bugging me that that was the default color/shade, that it was so light,

    but thank you again Christoph, that was very detailed and helpfull.

    Thanks Christoph - it worked - im very happy with that,

    i changed the
    color: #333;
    to
    color: #000;

    but it was changing the font weight from 300 to 400 that made the difference - a big change for the better - thanks.
