    When I try to mouse down to my submenu items they just disappear. Something to do with .title-area overlapping the nav area?

    I added this CSS:

    .site-header {
    z-index: -2;
    }

    It seems to have fixed it but I thought I had it fixed before and I didn't.

    you don't want to do that. It will mean the title is not clickable and also will hide the fixed header as well.

    OK I removed that CSS so now it's back to disappearing when you try to move the cursor down to it.

    OK, now I can see what's causing it.

    the site-header has a position relative at around line 1177 in your stylesheet. This is causing it to be in front of the sub-menu. If you remove that it should work. i don't know why that is there.

    OK I switched it to position: inherit and it seems to have fixed it. Will it stay ok like that or will it mess up something else?

    i can't see anything else that is dependant on it having position relative. To be sure though, I'd contact the theme author. this is something that should work well out of the box, so it's worth them knowing about it anyway.
