    I want to add a margin bottom to my pages in the site, and used the following css code in my style.css:

    .site-inner {
    margin-bottom: 20px;
    }

    Works great, but it also adds the margin to the Home Page, which I do not want.
    I am struggling with what code to add to remove the margin from the homepage.
    Right now I have:

    home .site-inner {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    And it is not working.
    I also tried the variation: home #inner { but it still doesn't work. In both cases the margin still shows up.

    What am I missing in the css code??

    figured it out.
    had to add a dot before home:
    .home .site-inner {
