Which theme do you recommend for displaying 100s of paintings? It needs to be user friendly so my client can easily add images on her own. I'm looking at Elegant Pro but not sure if it's the best choice

@vision2000 I typically will ask clients what sites they like and admire. Maybe she's seen something similar out there that she might want to have in her website. I have you asked her? Anything can be used, especially now that the block editor is in there.

Thx...I showed Elegant Pro and Modern Studio Pro..she preferred Elegant
however I'm not sure how to best show 100s of paintings. Elegant uses a slider to display images

Here's a quick video of what i've done so far

You could really use any theme, but Elegance Pro has not been updated in quite some time. I would say select a theme that 1) had been updated for the Block Editor and 2) has been updated for Accessbility (for people with visual impairments). Since she's going to have hundreds of images in there Accessibility is going to be key. Here's a list of the themes that have been updated with the block editor and are accessible-friendly.

You could do what you want with Infinity Pro. Use Portfolio Pro and add the galleries. But Elegance hasn't been updated at all. I'd stick with something up to date.

    StudioPress Themes
    Authority Pro
    Breakthrough Pro
    Essence Pro
    Genesis Sample
    Infinity Pro
    Magazine Pro
    Monochrome Pro
    Revolution Pro

Wow...didn't realize that...thanks...fortunately I didn't get too far with Elegant so am going with your recommendation....Infinity Pro

What gallery do you recommend so I can show different categories ie landscape, portrait, etc?

The display of the images will should be determined by the images going in the gallery. Find out if all of them will be Portrait or Landscape or a mixed use of both within one gallery. If mixed use, there's a limited selection of those in the plugin repo that you can look for.
