I have not used WP software yet.  Neither have I used Studiopress.  I am getting ready to step into this wonderful world, and I am hoping to form some friendships here that will aid me in my quest for the coolest website on the planet.

I have a question, "If I use Studiopress, the Genesis framework, and the themes offered here, will I be able to use any plugin that I choose or will I struggle with incompatibility?"

    I welcome any input.

    Thanks,

    asoltys

Welcome to the world of WP and in particular, StudioPress!

I haven't had issues with incompatibility with any plugins that are designed for use with WP; that's not to say that there aren't any, but I think for the most common ones, you should be good to go.

If you take the plunge and buy Genesis and a theme, you will get great support through the official help desk for the StudioPress themes, and we here on the forums will be happy to help you with any customizations for your site.

Do you currently have a site? What platform are you using if you haven't moved to WP yet.

Thank you for your response.  I don't currently have a site.  I have been developing the idea and waiting for a little cash.  It is hard to wait, but I have learned a lot and proved to myself that I will perservere.  I think that is pretty important for anything in life to be successful.  Anyway, I did start some sites and got over zealous when I taught myself CSS and HTML through html.net.  I bought some PHP books and realized I was out of my league.  Then I ran into WP.  The concept of not having to write any code is fantastic.  I am hopeful that I will be able to do everything else that is necessary.  I am concerned about security, but Studiopress says they are very secure through the framework.  I believe I have found a home here at studiopress.  It all starts in February when I get the money I need.  Thanks again for the input.
